How to give: Before giving, please attend one of the capital campaign informational meetings so you can learn about the campaign in more detail and how you might specifically join in to help. Please call the office to inquire about the next dates. Then, complete the pledge card and please click below to make a secured online gift. Whenever possible, due to much lower transaction fees, we encourage the EFT/ACH (bank account) option ($.50 transaction fee) over the credit card option (~2.8% transaction fee). It allows the maximum amount of your gift to support the school.
Today, we are seeing God moving in tremendous ways at Ann Arbor Christian, and we believe He is calling us to make some critical decisions that have a 20- to 50-year impact on the school’s future. In fact, these decisions are as momentous and far-reaching as any decision the school has ever made. As captured by our campaign tagline of Be Rooted. Be Relevant., these decisions are designed to strengthen our commitment to our roots and founding principles while equipping the school to thrive and be relevant for many, many years beyond today.
Because of the immeasurable importance of Christian education in Ann Arbor and the surrounding area, we are embarking on a $4.5 million capital campaign. In summary, the campaign will address these key and immediate priorities of the school:
- Building a new and modern 14,000+ square ft expansion to our current facilities to provide additional space to support enrollment growth and new programs
- Strengthen the educational experience of our students and teachers with new resources and support services and to be recognized as the leading school for Christian education in the area
- Improve the existing facilities to provide new opportunities for a growing school
- Eliminate the school’s mortgage
Because of our common understanding that an education rooted in the Gospel is the richest, fullest, and wisest form of learning, we are humbly but passionately calling on all generations of AACS families and supporters to learn more about this capital campaign and, God willing, to move together as God’s people to make this capital campaign a success and a reality. We believe that our mutual commitment to high quality Christ-centered education transcends when our own children attended Ann Arbor Christian and transcends our stage in life. It is an eternal investment in God’s children and Christian families that takes a community of giving across all generations to make possible.
In addition to founding and alumni families who continue to give to AACS, we are encouraged by seeing more and more current families giving at a very high rate to Ann Arbor Christian. Giving is what will drive this capital campaign forward. The faster people give, the faster we can take the next step and move forward. In short, we are seeking to raise $4.5 million in the next three years to make our plan a reality, and we know it will take many levels of giving to raise this total.
At the same time, we know that this is a God-sized project that will rely on more than just our sheer will, efforts, resources, and talents. However, if this is His leading for Ann Arbor Christian, God is more than big enough for this historic endeavor, and its success will set the stage for further expansion opportunities in the future.
Over 27 years ago, another group of men and women also went through a period of prayer and discernment when they considered opening AACS and then again about a decade later when they considered the daunting process of building at our current location.
Now, we are again in a new period of discerning and crafting major plans for the school’s future and are excited at what God will accomplish through His people moving together.
