Congratulations to one of our most recent alumni, Stella Johnson!
Congratulations to one of our most recent alumni, Stella Johnson, for the special profile and award on WDIV! She is a runner for Mercy High's Varsity Cross Country team and won the WDIV Fan Choice Award - voted 4Frenzy's "Favorite Freshman".
Stella started running at AACS' Girls on the Run. We asked her recently what her favorite memory was of AACS and she replied that she loved the eighth-grate class trip and serving as a chapel family leader. She also commented that AACS enabled her to settle into high school and "find a group of friends that I know would be able to help me grow, instead of bring me down. AACS was able to help me by starting my life with people like that."
We are so grateful for our alumni and love hearing from them. If you would like to share your story with us, please connect by going to www.annarborchristian.org/alumnisurvey
AACS FIRST Lego League robotics teams showed great teamwork at regional competition!Congratulations to our three 4th-5th grade FIRST Lego League robotics teams for their teamwork and performance at the regional competition. Our two recreational teams, the Composting Critters and the Skyscrapers, both did very well in a number of areas, while our competitive team, the Hoverheads, qualified for the state championship later in the fall. The school is immensely grateful for the generous giving of time and care of Coach Chen and Coach Hong. They are a testimony of the many parents who go above and beyond to provide a rich educational experience for our students.

Kindergarten GraduationCongrats to our kindergarteners for their graduation today! First grade, here they come!
Field DayFIELD DAY! One of the best days of the school year where all of our students and teachers are gathered together for activities and fun all day long. We are so thankful to Shannon Waroway for putting on this incredible day for so many years, it has been a treat to us all! The day begins with different physical activities including an obstacle course, a pool noodle javelin toss, a 50m dash, and a water bucket relay race. Mid-day students take a break with lunch and a Veggie Tales video. They resume activities for the afternoon that concludes with popsicles, a tug-of-war, and an awards ceremony!
Congratulations to our Graduating Eighth Grade Class! Our most newly minted alumni! Congratulations to our 8th graders as they graduated last night. Today, they were honored by each grade in our closing assembly and are leading their chapel families in Field Day as we speak! We send them forth with God’s blessings. One photo shows the students who were in kindergarten together with Mrs. Dick.
2018-2019 Math OlympiansCongratulations to all our 2018-2019 Math Olympians! The Math Olympians participated in the National Competition by taking a series of 5 tests to solve unusual and difficult problems and thinking creatively. Our teams did very well! We are especially proud that all four of our middle school participants scored in the top 50% nationally, two of which scored within the top 10% nationally. Thank you to Phil Boonstra for his efforts and time in providing our students with this opportunity!
