Christmas ProgramA big thank you to our wonderful music teacher for putting together a beautiful Christmas program this evening titled, "Emmanuel, God with Us!" It featured singing, dancing, and instruments to some favorite tunes including "Away in a Manger," "O Come O Come Emmanuel," and "O Little Town of Bethlehem." What a joy to see the students using their gifts to praise God and share some Christmas joy.
Hour of CodeWe are so grateful to the dads who volunteered to help out with Hour of Code for our middle school today! Each student was able to spend an hour learning how to code in a fun and educational way!
8th Grade ServiceOur 8th graders helped prepare crafts for the Foster Care Respite Day held at Knox Presbyterian Church as an act of service.
Haiti Multiplication ProjectWe are so proud of all of our students who participated in the Haiti Multiplication Project this year. They each received "seed money" from the school that they had to then multiply into something greater by making a good or doing a service. The extra money made was given to help God's Littlest Angels Orphanage in Haiti.
Simulation of the Constitutional Convention of 1787In a simulation of the Constitutional Convention of 1787 in Philadelphia, our 8th grade students were assigned delegates to portray during this interactive activity. Prior to this simulation, the students intensely researched to prepare for their respective roles.
Kindergarteners Plant Their Class TreeOur kindergarten class planted a tree that will grow with them throughout their years at AACS! Thanks to our dad volunteers who helped! #AACSlife
MANS ConventionOur teachers in Grand Rapids with 1700 other Michigan educators committed to strong, Christ-centered education. In addition to many workshops, some teachers went to visit the world renowned Van Andel Research Institute to learn about science instruction.
Concert with the FGRHS MadrigalsWhat an amazing concert we had with the Father Gabriel Richard High School honors choir! They are an audition-only honors choir made up of sophomores, juniors, and seniors and have a strong reputation for their talent. We hope our students' seeing an excellent high school group was both fun and inspiring for them.
Mr. McCormack’s Animals Visit 5th GradeA favorite tradition for our fifth grade class is a visit from Mr. McCormack and all of his animals! Students are filled with excitement and delight as he captivatingly unveils animal after animal that they can see and touch in their own classroom!
