Preschool Philosophy & Statement of Purpose

Ann Arbor Christian School Eaglets Preschool offers a Christ-centered preschool experience for children ages 3 and 4 years old. The emphasis of our preschool is to learn together, explore God’s creation, and build a foundation for elementary education. This is accomplished through a play-based curriculum of units focusing on a variety of themes throughout the year. Math and literacy skills are incorporated into the everyday activities of the classroom. God’s relationship to each of us —whether adults or children— is an integral focus of the preschool program at Ann Arbor Christian School.

Since our world belongs to God, active discipleship in every area of life is taught. Since our world is being redeemed in Jesus, Christian joy and hope characterizes our community. Since the Holy Spirit is present among us, we grow in knowledge and truth.

At Ann Arbor Christian School, our students learn to see the world through the spectacles of God’s Word and are equipped to live and act in contemporary society as followers of Jesus. Because all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ (Colossians 2:3), we believe that there are critical differences between the Biblical and secular viewpoints on any given subject. It is our purpose to instruct our students as to these differences and to equip them with the tools they need to search out and discover these differences for themselves.

At Ann Arbor Christian School, every student is treasured as one of God’s special image-bearers. Individual students are treated with the same kindness, respect, and love that Jesus had for the children who came to Him.

Ann Arbor Christian School is also a Christian community. Relationships between students and teachers, students and students, and parents and teachers, strive to mirror the same love that characterizes the love of the Trinity.

Omega Program for K-8

Opened this fall, Omega will provide currently enrolled AACS students in grades K-8 with high-quality, nurturing, and safe activities both before and after school in a distinctly Christian environment.

Hours: 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Flexible scheduling is available.
You may change your selected number of days quarterly.
Drop-in space is available.*
Cost per student: daily $12.50 flat fee ($6.50 from 3:30-4:45pm and $6 from 4:45-6pm)
A discount is available for families who enroll multiple students.

* Drop-ins are allowed if parents notify the school ahead of time and the maximum size has not been reached.

Aftercare for Preschool 3 and Kindergarten

Kindergarten Aftercare provides currently enrolled students in preschool 3 and kindergarteners with high-quality, nurturing, and safe aftercare in a distinctly Christian environment.

Hours: 11:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Parents may choose between one-, two-, three-, four-, or five-day after care, and may change that choice quarterly.
